The year 1970 was a great year for the Minnesota Twins playing Baseball at the Old Met Stadium in Bloomington Minnesota.
Super Value was a Twin City based Company who issued a series of 12 different Minnesota Twins player cards in their Supermarket stores in the summer of 1970. Of course, it was a great way to feature the 1970 Twins team to their many Midwestern fans in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota and especially a big hit with young baseball card collectors. However, over the past 50 plus years, very few original 1970 Super Valu Twins cards have survived to be included in card collectors collections across the nation.
This 2022 collector issued 1970 Super Valu Twins card measures 2.5 by 3.5 inches. The original 1970 Super Valu Twins card were larger in size and thus harder to collect and display in card albums.
